Ben’Saba Khan Jr

April 17, 1966 – April 9, 2019

A true soldier born April 17, 1966 as Rayford Warren Lockett Jr. to the proud parents of Rayford and Carol Lockett. In 1971 his father converted to Islam and officially changed both his name and naturally his son to Ben’Saba Sr. and Jr. The family sir name was changed to Khan. Ben’Saba Khan Jr. is more affectionately known by those close to him as Jr.-(Junior).

Jr. was the second born of four siblings and the only boy. Lisa, Jr. Peaches and then LaRae. He was his own person and stood by what he believed. Basketball was a favorite sport of his, some called him a “Clean Freak”, and he knew how to cook. He was calm, loved music, traveling, fast money and most of all his family.

As a young boy through his young adult years, he resided and established many friendships in Compton, California.  He started his family here with his first-born daughter Tora Khan (preceding him in passing). Jr. decided to see what else was waiting for him in the world and moved to the state of Washington more than 20 years ago where he planted his new roots. He was married to Yolanda Rochelle and later to Tsikeya Chow, and to this union two children were born.

His heart was always drawn to truck driving and he attended truck driving school. Every chance he had to drive he did. As we all do, he had his stumbles along the way, but never lost who he was and never stopped loving his family and always kept God first.

Let the good memories that you have keep you strong as he would have wanted. Laugh at the good times, cry when you need to, but know that he is resting peacefully with those that preceded him going home. So, he is still surrounded by those that love him. He is not alone

Jr. blessed the world with 7 children and 1 adopted daughter. His firstborn Tora Khan preceded him in passing and is with him now. Those left to carry on his memories are, his parents Ben’Saba and Carol Khan, Siblings- Lisa (Husband Jonathan Doakes), Peaches (Husband Arthur Lea, Jr.), and La Rae (Husband-Charles Russell), Spouse – Tsikeya Chow, his children,  Tanisha, Warren, La Detra, Keira, Ujana Jennings, Zaleigha and Gianni (G). 9 grandchildren, 13 nieces and nephews, 1 great nephew, 4 great nieces, and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and others he’s touched his short time here with us all.
